Although women have gained spaces and rights in the public sphere, inequality persists at the sociocultural level and within families. Marcia Benavides presents an overview of the issue and offers alternatives for creating spaces of true equality in rights and obligations. A law graduate with a Master's degree in Family Law, she heads the Gender Equality and Human Rights Unit of the Tamaulipas Judiciary and is a public speaker. She writes a blog and creates content on social media to promote personal growth focused on the empowerment of women and families.
