In Naples they are called peperoni 'mbuttunati and are a real must of Neapolitan cuisine. They were born as a poor recipe, recycled, but then they have gradually been enriched over time. Making them is really simple and within everyone's reach: you can put more or less anything in them! These ones I'm proposing are very similar to the ones I ate some time ago in a typical trattoria and I have to say that I'm very satisfied with the result! They can be served as a second course given their richness, but placed individually on the plate they can also become a nice rich appetizer, a prelude to a delicious dinner! I like them a lot and I often make them in the summer, when the peppers are more meaty, sweet and tasty. If you love them as much as I do, you absolutely must not miss this recipe! In this case, to make the recipe for stuffed peppers - in addition to these vegetables that are still the absolute protagonists of the recipe - I used mozzarella, provolone, cooked ham and stale bread. It goes without saying that the pepper slices can accommodate anything you have in the fridge to consume. Are you crazy about it? Eh... how I understand you! ► Ingredients to prepare stuffed peppers: Peppers 8 Mozzarella for pizza 400 g Stale breadcrumbs 280 g Cooked ham 250 g Provolone 200 g Parmigiano Reggiano 80 g Eggs 2 Water to taste Breadcrumbs to taste Salt to taste Black pepper to taste To complete Breadcrumbs to taste Parmigiano Reggiano to taste EVO oil to taste The recipe on the site: https://www.casapappagallo.it/ricette...
