In this ReHousIn lecture, Phoebe Stirling (University College London) explores how the UK's green transition is influencing housing inequalities. The session examines how domestic retrofitting, nature-based solutions and urban densification interact with housing affordability, access and stability. Drawing on research from the ReHousIn project, the lecture explores how fragmented governance, market-based funding and rising land values can increase the cost of delivering green initiatives, with these costs often falling on residents.
