Recharge your energy with this delicious hot pot♪ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Toridashi Nabe -------------------------------------------------- 🛍️Ingredients (for 4 servings) Water ………………………700cc Noodle soup base ………………150cc Chicken thigh ……………1 piece (300g) Chinese cabbage ……………………200g g Leek …………………1 Silken Tofu ………1/2 block Shimeji Mushrooms …………………100g Rice …………………300g Eggs …………………2 Green Onions (finely chopped) ……………as needed 🔪Tools Knife Cutting board Earthenware pot (with lid) Kitchen scale Measuring cup Small bowl Chopsticks Ladle 📝A request from Shinpei-sensei ・Adults can enjoy this with shichimi chili pepper or sansho pepper. ・Drain the water from the silken tofu. ・Always wash your hands before starting. -------------------------------------------------- 🍳Instructions ①Cut the Chinese cabbage into 3cm wide pieces. Remove the stems from the shimeji mushrooms and separate them by hand. Cut off the roots of the leek and cut into 4cm lengths. ② Place the chicken thighs skin-side down on a cutting board and cut into 10 equal pieces (4-5 cm in size). 💡 Cutting with the skin side down prevents slipping. ⚠ Wash your hands after handling the meat. ③ Cut the silken tofu into 6 equal pieces. ④ Add water and mentsuyu (noodle soup base) to an earthenware pot and bring to a boil over high heat. ⑤ Once the soup in the earthenware pot boils, add the chicken thighs. Once it boils again, simmer for 5 minutes. 💡 Let the chicken broth come out properly. ⑥ Reduce the heat to low and add the silken tofu, green onions, and Chinese cabbage. Increase the heat again to high and simmer for 3 minutes. ⑦ Add the shimeji mushrooms and simmer briefly. Once the mushrooms are tender, transfer to individual serving bowls. If you run out of ingredients, keep adding more as you eat. 💡Shimeji mushrooms taste better when not overcooked. 〈Zosui〉 ① Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them with chopsticks. ② Heat the soup in a pot over high heat. Once it boils, add the rice. Once it starts to simmer, cover and cook over low heat for 3 minutes. ③ Remove the lid and pour in the beaten eggs, letting them run down the chopsticks. Turn off the heat, cover, and let it sit for 2 minutes. ④ Sprinkle with green onions and serve in individual bowls. \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ ◆To Parents and Adults "Gochisousama Cooking School" by chef Shinpei Kurihara is an online cooking class for children from elementary school first grade to junior high school.
