Backpacking Three Sisters Wilderness Oregon - Scenic 4K Hiking to STUNNING Golden Lake

Join my dog Osita and I on a one-night backpacking trip within the incredible Three Sisters Wilderness in the Central Oregon Cascade Mountains. We hike to Golden Lake, one of the beautiful alpine/sub-alpine lakes in between Three Sisters and Broken Top. Thanks for watching! Trip itinerary: Start: Park Meadow Trailhead Park Meadow Trail 96A ➜ Golden Lake Trail ➜ Upper Golden Lakes Trail (unofficial) Camp: Upper Golden Lake (unofficial) Miles: ~ 8 – 9 one way I highly recommend this Three Sisters Wilderness backpacking adventure to Golden Lake from Park Meadow Trailhead. That is, if you're willing to push through 4-ish miles of exposed burn zone (with water sources) to be rewarded by a beautiful forest section and sparkling lakeside campsites with incredible mountain views. Nestled between rugged Broken Top and the towering Three Sisters peaks, Golden Lake is a great spot to shoot for as a one-nighter or part of a larger loop. If you’re feeling adventurous, take the unofficial “Upper Golden Lake” trail to discover two small lakes sourcing a beautiful creek and Golden Lake below.
