7 Days Backpacking on Isle Royale | Minong & Greenstone Loop | America's Least Visited National Park

In this episode of Lyon's Untamed Path, Rod Woten, Joe Kuefler, and I backpack one of the most remote and least-visited national parks in America: Isle Royale National Park. Our route followed a loop across the island using portions of the Minong Ridge Trail, Greenstone Ridge Trail, and Indian Portage Trail. What began with beautiful early September weather quickly turned into several days of cold rain, wet gear, and challenging hiking conditions. Along the way we discovered moose sign, explored remote campgrounds, cooked trail meals, foraged chanterelle mushrooms, and experienced the rugged beauty that makes Isle Royale unlike any other national park.
