POST RHINE RIVER CRUISE EXTENSION PART 1 SWITZERLAND BASIL AND LUCERN

After sailing on AMAWATERWAYS ship, the AMALUCIA, which took us up the Rhine River from Amsterdam to Basel, we did their four night post cruise extension in Switzerland. This included a short tour of Basil, two nights in Lucern, and 2 nights in Zurich. Transiting from Lucern to Zurich, we did a lake cruise and cogwheel train ride up to the top of Mt. Rigi. This video is Part 1, of 2, for this post cruise extension. Specifically, we explore Basil and Lucern. This VLOG is part of a three week adventure. Cindy had two major places on her bucket list to visit. Holland, to see the tulips, and Switzerland, to see the mountain villages and soaring peaks. Scott had an epic river cruise he wanted to do. So, we combined these three burning desires into a three week adventure. Along the way we traveled by plane, boat, bus, and train. Flying to Amsterdam to see the tulips in late April. We then took a cruise up the Rhine River, seeing beautiful towns and castles along the way. Some bus transfers with the pre and post cruise extensions, then the train, including the Glacier Express, to see the rest of Switzerland properly, culminating with majestic views of the Matterhorn. And, no broken bones along the way.
