Taking the Train from Zurich to St Moritz, Switzerland

After sailing on AMAWATERWAYS ship, the AMALUCIA, which took us up the Rhine River from Amsterdam to Basel, including both pre and post extensions, we headed off on our own. Here we’re taking the train from Zurich to St. Moritz. Not expecting much out of the rainy day, we were surprised by the beauty of the country and smoothness of the train. We end up getting to walk around St. Moritz some before it got dark. Train enthusiasts this video is for you. We are not really train people, but I can definitely see the appeal of proper train travel. This VLOG is part of a three week adventure. Cindy had two major places on her bucket list to visit. Holland, to see the tulips, and Switzerland, to see the mountain villages and soaring peaks. Scott had an epic river cruise he wanted to do. So, we combined these three burning desires into a three week adventure. Along the way we traveled by plane, boat, bus, and train. Flying to Amsterdam to see the tulips in late April. We then took a cruise up the Rhine River, seeing beautiful towns and castles along the way. Some bus transfers with the pre and post cruise extensions, then the train, including the Glacier Express, to see the rest of Switzerland properly, culminating with majestic views of the Matterhorn.
