Ovechkin's First 4-Point Game (12/3/2005)

December 3, 2005 - Alex Ovechkin entered the 26th game of his career with a respectable 25 points in his first 25 games. However, he had yet to score more than 2 points in a game and was coming into the game riding the first real goal-scoring drought of his career (6 games without a goal). On top of that, the visiting New York Rangers were one of the hottest teams in the league, going 11-3-0 in their last 14 games. After breaking the goal drought with the opening goal of the game, the Great 8 would set up 3 more goals, including two great assists in the second period. Throw in a couple big hits and even a shot block, and you have a classic rookie Ovechkin game.
