PZL.30/LWS-6 Żubr - drogi, brzydki, nieudany

The PZL.30 "Żubr," also known as the LWS-6, is one of the most controversial aircraft of the Second Polish Republic. Expensive to produce, ugly in appearance, and – as it quickly turned out – completely unsuccessful in service. Although intended as a transitional bomber between the Fokker F.VII and the modern PZL.37 "Łoś," in practice it became a symbol of poor decisions and technical compromises. In this video, I discuss: • the genesis of the project and its civilian beginnings, • the crash involving the Romanian delegation, • design problems and compromising tests, • the Żubr's role in Polish training units, • attempts to sell it abroad and its propaganda use by the Germans. Finally, we examine the aircraft's technical parameters and why the Żubr never saw actual combat use. 📌 For viewers If you are interested in the history of Polish aviation and want to learn about the most unsuccessful projects, this video is for you. 👉 Support the channel on YouTube, Patreon, or buy us a virtual coffee – this helps us create new episodes and projects like the RWD-6 replica.
