You'll never truly win if you keep restarting a race until it favours you to win. I used to ruin all my single player championship races and seasons by restarting pretty much always when something bad happened. I created artificial rules, like "if this and that happens, I can reload a save / restart!" etc. Unsurprisingly it was a slippery slope from there and wound up suckcing all the joy out of it. No excitement, no accomplishments, just an empty feeling. I have now healed! And if you're a re-starter, so should you! Why so serious? I'll tell you!
