Didcot Railway Centre Bank Holiday Steam Up 29/8/2020

The 2020 August Bank Holiday steam up at the Great Western Society's Didcot Railway Centre featured King class 4-6-0 No. 6023 KING EDWARD II, on one of its last appearances in steam before the expiry of its boiler certificate, and new build Saint class 4-6-0 No. 2999 LADY of LEGEND. Although officially a new build locomotive, LADY of LEGEND includes many major components, including the boiler and the frames, from Hall class No. 4942 MAINDY HALL. Several other components, including the whistle, come from some of the actual, long scrapped, Saint class engines themselves. Filmed on Saturday 29th August 2020.
