According to reports, the deceased have been identified as Sunita and her daughter Shruti, wife and daughter of Dharam Nag from Talpali Pada. The incident occurred when Shruti was taking her mother to a nursing home for medical treatment. During their journey, an unknown vehicle reportedly hit their scooter, resulting in the death of both occupants on the spot. The exact identity of the vehicle involved in the accident is yet to be established. Balangir Town Police reached the spot, recovered the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem examination. An investigation has been launched to trace the vehicle responsible for the hit-and-run incident.
