FIRST TIME EVER Virtual Reality hoisting in the AW139 simulator
Welcome on board! And thank you for watching. Last week I got the change to fly the brand new AW139 simulator on the faroe islands. This simulator is in the beautiful Atlantic Airways Aviation academy center. They have a separate VR hoist station setup that is connected to the AW139 simulator. Really nice setup! I am a Bel Air helicopter pilot and we have a AW139 with hoist. Therefore to be able to train hoisting and emergencies with hoisting is super useful for us. This was a training flight to evaluate the equipment and to build our training scenario's around this simulator and hoist station.
