Labor 'knew everything' about ‘Doctor Jihad’ but kept it secret

​The Australian’s Mohammad Alfares says the government has known “everything” about Tareq Kamleh, more commonly known as Doctor Jihad, but kept it secret. ​“What the Iraqi government told us, the Australian, is that the embassy in Baghdad is following his case, and not just the case of every Australian national in Iraq,” Mr Alfares told Sky News host Peta Credlin. ​“What that tells us is that the embassy in Baghdad operates for the Australian government…our sources have said that DFAT was briefed on this back in 2022.”
