‘We owe him nothing’: 'Dr Jihad’s' discovery ignites debate on barring defectors from Australia

​Sky News host Peta Credlin says Australia owes Tareq Kamleh, more commonly known as Doctor Jihad, “nothing” and he should be prevented from entering the country ever again. ​"Born in Perth in 1985 to a Palestinian father and a German Catholic-convert mother... then this Dr Jihad, Tareq Kamleh, remains an Australian citizen,” said Ms Credlin. “That is shocking, isn't it. ​“As a country, we owe this man nothing, absolutely nothing. ​“If the prime minister says we can't stop him coming back because he's an Australian citizen, then surely, we change the law? “Or we deploy an exclusion order to keep him locked up in Iraq? Or whatever other avenue we need to keep this man out of the country? “It is not up to just the Opposition to fight this; every Australian has got to call out this lie that there's nothing that Labor can do to keep these men out. “Because trust me, you saw what happened at Bondi; it's bad enough that the women are back. “You do not want to see...these men back here in our country as well.”
