In this chapter, we begin our journey to Guadalajara. We depart from Tuxtla Gutiérrez in the state of Chiapas, heading north. We arrive in Tehuantepec (Oaxaca) and continue on to the Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Mitla, home to beautiful local textile craft shops. We also happened to see the beautiful GUELAGUETZA parade, the largest cultural festival in the state of Oaxaca. Very close to Mitla is the famous tourist spot of Hierve el Agua, where you'll find beautiful natural pools of water at the edge of the cliff, forming the only petrified waterfall in Mexico—an amazing, albeit over-exploited, place!
