Nachisan Seigantoji Temple is the first of the 33 Kannon Sacred Sites in the Saigoku region and is registered as a World Heritage Site.The current main hall was rebuilt by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1590 and is a characteristic of the Momoyama period. It leaves a strong impression. Kumano Nachi Taisha is one of the three Kumano shrines and is the headquarters of Kumano shrines nationwide. Thirteen gods are enshrined, with Izanami no Mikoto as the main deity, and the three-legged Yatagarasu is worshiped as a guiding deity. The shrine and its grounds are also registered as a World Heritage Site. The three-storied pagoda of Mt. Nachi Seigantoji is said to have been built in the late Heian period, when Mt. Nachi was at its peak as a sacred site, and was destroyed during the civil war in 1581, but was rebuilt in 1972. At Hitaki Shrine, the waterfall itself is enshrined as an object of worship; it is 133 meters high, the Choshi mouth is 13 meters wide, the waterfall pot is 10 meters deep, and the amount of water that falls is 1 ton per second. It is said to be a national scenic spot. There is a legend that if you drink the water from the basin of Nachi Falls, you will live a long life. Kumano Kodo Daimonzaka is a moss-covered cobblestone road with a total length of about 500 meters and a height difference of about 100 meters. In addition, the ancient road, surrounded by old cedar trees that are over 800 years old, is the place where the traces of the past remain most strongly, and the cobblestone path continues for about 640 meters to the sacred site of Mt.
