Interview was bad...here is what i did about it.

My first validation call was 18 minutes of yes and no answers and I wanted to hang up the whole time. Went back and watched the transcript and realized it was entirely my fault. I was asking closed questions, not listening, just trying to get through my checklist. Spent a couple hours rewriting how I open these calls. The difference was immediate. Seven interviews later and people are actually opening up and giving me real stuff.
