It didn't have any variety information marked, but the price was very cheap. I picked the best one and bought it. It's different from the previous jujube trees. The first one was purchased from an online nursery, with the variety listed, and cost over 60 euros. The second one was purchased from a physical nursery, also with the variety listed, and cost about 45 euros. The third one I bought didn't have any variety information marked, but only cost 15 euros. The third jujube tree was very cheap. However, this jujube tree wasn't grafted. I couldn't see the grafting point at the base of the tree. Seedlings grown from seed take much longer to flower and bear fruit. Also, the taste of the jujubes is uncertain. They might taste better, or they might taste very bad. Besides being cheaper, seedlings grown from seed also grow faster: there are no breaks from root to trunk, and they grow vigorously. If the jujubes from the jujube tree in the video don't taste good, they can be grafted onto branches from two other jujube trees of different varieties. Furthermore, while jujube trees can self-pollinate, cross-pollination between different varieties yields a better fruit set. It had no variety label, but the price was very low, so I picked out the best-looking one to take home. This one differs from the jujube trees I bought previously. The first tree came from an online nursery; it was labeled with a specific variety and cost over 60 euros. The second was purchased from a physical nursery, also labeled with a variety, and cost around 45 euros. This third tree, however, had no variety information but cost only 15 euros. In terms of price, this third tree was a bargain. However, it is not a grafted tree. There is no visible graft union at the base of the tree. Seedling-grown trees take much longer to flower and bear fruit. Furthermore, the flavor of the fruit is unpredictable—it could be superior, or it could turn out quite poor. Aside from the low price, the advantage of a seedling tree is its rapid growth: without the break in the stem caused by grafting, the tree grows vigorously from root to trunk. If the fruit produced by this tree in the video turns out to be disappointing, I can always graft scions from my other two named-variety jujube trees onto it later. Additionally, while jujube trees can self-pollinate, cross-pollination between different varieties often results in a better fruit set.
