Historias Innecesarias: Paris bajo ataque

Paris, Friday, November 13, 2015. While a friendly match between France and Germany was underway at the Stade de France, the night was just beginning in the bars of the city center. Suddenly, outside the stadium, a massive explosion was heard, so loud it could be heard even on the broadcast of the match. Minutes later, another explosion. And almost simultaneously, in different parts of the city, armed men opened fire on people having dinner or drinks in bars. No one knew how many attacks there were, or who was behind them. Meanwhile, at the Bataclan theater, where the band Eagles of Death Metal was playing to more than 1,500 people, three men with automatic rifles fired into the crowd. In less than three hours, Paris experienced one of the most coordinated and deadly terrorist attacks in its history. One hundred and thirty people died, more than four hundred were injured, and the entire country was placed under a state of emergency. What happened that night was neither an isolated incident nor an improvised act. It was part of an operation planned from the heart of Syria and carried out by radicalized Europeans who knew the streets they were attacking perfectly.
