Attentats du 13 novembre : Les Frères de la Mort

Almost all the terrorists of November 13 were French or Belgian, aged 20 to 31. How were these young men able to coldly kill 130 people and injure nearly 500? What were their lives and their backgrounds? Why did they become radicalized? And how did they organize these attacks? One thing is certain: among the killers, there is no typical profile. Some were petty criminals who were not very religious, others, on the contrary, had a clean criminal record and were very religious. We investigated the journey of five of them: Foued-Mohamed Aggad, one of the Bataclan attackers, Abdel Hamid Abaaoud, one of the coordinators of the attacks, Brahim Abdeslam, one of the shooters on the Parisian terraces, his brother Salah Abdeslam, one of the logicians of the terrorist cell and Najim Laachraoui, the one who made the explosive belts. To understand how and why these men changed, we collected the testimony of those who crossed their path: their childhood friends, their teachers, their former colleagues, but also their relatives, some of whom are speaking for the first time. Through this film, we decipher how their radicalization took place. Most of these young people crossed paths with recruiters. Men who indoctrinated them and convinced them of the need to go and fight in Syria, through speeches, but also propaganda videos. Finally, this investigation shows how these terrorists organized themselves to prepare these bloody attacks. Director: Elise Richard
