A Journey Along the Ayrshire Coast Line: Scotland's Hidden Railway Gem!
In today's vlog I'm joined by Clive's Travel and Trains@Clivestravelandtrains to explore one of Scotland's most enjoyable and scenic branch lines — the Largs Branch on the Ayrshire Coast Line. Beginning at Kilwinning, we travel the full length of the branch to Largs, stopping off to explore stations, uncover local history and enjoy some spectacular coastal scenery overlooking the Firth of Clyde. Along the way we visit the historic seaside town of Saltcoats, discover the story behind this fascinating railway and take a closer look at the landscapes that make this one of Scotland's most rewarding rail journeys. Finally, we arrive at Largs itself, exploring the bustling promenade and ferry terminal where Caledonian MacBrayne services connect the mainland with the Isle of Great Cumbrae. Whether you're interested in railway history, scenic train journeys or simply discovering somewhere new, I hope you'll enjoy joining us on another adventure. A huge thank you to Clive's Travel and Trains for joining me on this trip!
