This time our route ran through the village of Gurbyntsi, where we conducted a census of white storks. The results were pleasantly pleasing! 📋 🪺 6 inhabited nests were surveyed. 🐣 19 storks are growing in them - a good indicator of a successful nesting season. Stork censuses are not just counting birds. Such studies allow us to assess the state of the population, identify problem nests, plan environmental protection measures and track how the number of storks changes from year to year.
