Camborne Station Level Crossing
Friday June 5 2015 at 9.53. The 9.35 Penzance to Manchester (16.57) train pulling out of the station and the 5.24 Bristol to Penzance (10.16) train about to stop in it. Apparently many east bound trains stop here with the barriers up and press a plunger to close the gates when ready to leave. The statue right at the end is of Richard Trevithick who built the world's first self-propelled passenger vehicle in 1801 and the first working steam train. This used to be a rich tin mining area.
