Rare Barriers at St. Andrews Junction Level Crossing, Bristol

St Andrews Junction Level Crossing on the Severn Beach Line. Location: King Road Avenue, Avonmouth, Bristol Postcode: BS11 9HF Date Filmed: 17/04/2026 Videos Filmed at 12:07 | 12:17 Nearest Stations: Avonmouth and Portway Park & Ride Trains: Class 165 130 (Great Western Railway) Class 166 220 (Great Western Railway) A rare crossing located right towards the Port of Avonmouth Docks. This crossing is controlled from its Signal Box, as seen in the video. Also to note, the location still remains its Old Barriers even by 2026. This location gets very busy during weekdays but a lot quieter on weekends. You should be careful when filming this crossing especially during weekdays because there can sometimes be Port Security around. I was absolutely fine taking these videos on this visit though, but I wasn’t able to film on the Port Side due to constant HGVs and other traffic coming in and out and it didn’t seem safe. I do plan to revisit here in the future, most likely on a weekend day. But for now, hope you enjoy these videos! Thanks for Watching!
