Legendary Trails. Licya Way. Day 5. Silent solo Hiking. Nature Ambience

"One of the shortest days on the trail. From our beach, a dirt road leads towards the town of Kalkan. But I won't follow it all the way; I'll turn onto a trail that leads to the most secluded beaches. Just before the town itself, there's a dangerous and technically challenging section for city tourists, where you have to climb a short distance along a narrow path over rocks. Kalkan is also challenging. There are huge elevation changes right through the narrow streets. At some points, you're climbing up to 40 degrees. It's hard to imagine how people drive here! In town, I replenished my supplies and recharged my vehicle a bit. Evgenia and I walked this section together, but we split up in town. We have different paces, and I'm recording a video. A steep trail also leads from the town into the mountains. You need to gather all your strength and willpower and climb under the scorching sun. When the weather is cloudless and it's so hot, it's very exhausting! On At the pass, the wind is more or less fresh, and the walking is much easier and more pleasant. Along the way, there are villages with cold water and delicious bread. Apple and cherry trees are in bloom. Towards the end of the day, there's one more pass to cross and a little more ground to climb. This pass was recently on fire. You can tell by the charred vegetation. But nature has already recovered from this blow. The descent from the pass is also quite technical, like the trail to Kalkan. But the views of the valley are magnificent! I spent the night in a clearing behind the village, very close to the mosque and access to drinking water. Here, we met Evgenia again, lit a fire, and cooked some good camping food over the fire."
