Longarm Loading Hack - a six-sided Christmas Tree Skirt

Today’s project is free motion quilting this sweet Christmas tree skirt for a friend. She thought for a minute she'd quilt it on her domestic machine, so she's already cut the backing to match the hexagonal shape. And as you might imagine, it won't work to just load those short edges onto the longarm. So let's talk about how to create a square backing for loading, and how to baste the irregular shape, and then, of course, freehand quilting my Filaments design. Topics this week: an ingenious hack for loading the hexagon choosing a thread color the actual free motion quilting (and I think it will be my Filaments design) The Kai Seam Remover used in this episode: https://amzn.to/3QTbyWw ——————————— FREE all-over feather class sign-up: https://stitchedbysusan.myflodesk.com...
