Bonnie & Camille print + Grunge Aqua + freemotion quilting = the perfect wholecloth baby gift!

Creative freemotion quilting on another wholecloth quilt! I’m making a gift for my brand new grand-niece. What a sweetie. Her middle name is Rose, so it seems fitting to use a rose-y floral backing. I’ve chosen a Bonnie and Camille print called One Fine Day, and paired it with a Grunge Aqua by Basic Grey for Moda Fabrics, with a touch of navy solid to extend the backing. My plan is to quilt in large chevrons, and to feature a large scale design of freehand florals (of course free motion quilting), drawing my inspiration from the flowers and leaves in the backing.
