EN: ➣ Merzouga is a small village on the edge of the Sahara Desert, famous as the gateway to the massive Erg Chebbi dunes. These sand dunes rise up to 150 meters high, and their colors shift beautifully from golden orange to deep red as the sun moves across the sky. ➣ The ultimate Sahara experience is a camel trek at sunset leading to a traditional Berber camp. Spending a night under a sky full of stars—clearer than you’ve ever seen—while listening to the rhythm of Berber drums by the campfire, is a truly magical moment. ➣ For those seeking adventure, Merzouga offers adrenaline-pumping activities like quad biking, dune buggying, or sandboarding down the steep slopes. ➣ Don’t miss a visit to the nearby village of Khamlia, home to the descendants of former slaves from sub-Saharan Africa. Here, you can experience the hypnotic and spiritual Gnaoua music, which is a vital part of the local desert heritage. ➣ Aït Ben Haddou is a historic ksar (fortified village) that looks as if time has stood still. This UNESCO World Heritage site is constructed entirely from clay and mud bricks and was once a vital stop for caravans traveling between the Sahara Desert and Marrakech, carrying gold, salt, and spices. ➣ Often called the "Hollywood of Morocco," this location has starred in countless legendary films and series, including Gladiator, Game of Thrones (as the city of Yunkai), The Mummy, and Prince of Persia. Its dramatic earthen architecture makes it a filmmaker’s dream. ➣ The village is a stunning example of southern Moroccan clay architecture, with houses crowded together behind high defensive walls and corner towers. While most residents now live in modern houses across the river, a few families still remain within the ancient walls. ➣ Vlog Tip: Make sure to hike all the way to the granary at the very top of the hill. From there, you’ll get a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Ounila Valley and the surrounding palm groves, which is perfect for a cinematic drone or wide-angle shot. Výhľad z vrchu: Určite sa oplatí vyšliapať až úplne hore k starej sýpke (agadir). Odtiaľ budeš mať panoramatický výhľad na celé údolie Ounila a palmové oázy.
