Skeena Pacific #1533 CN Train #355 at Sorenson Street, Matsqui, BC 2020 09 03

What turned out to be my last train for this day was, at least, interesting. Canadian National Train #355 is a daily, manifest freight originating in Prince George, BC and terminating at the CN Thornton Yard, in Surrey, BC. It's a short haul service in Canadian railway parlance, covering a mere 950 kilometres (about 585 miles). It's an interesting consist, with CN3830 leading and CN3078 mid-train. Thanks for the wave! The action was caught at the Mile 88.66 grade crossing of CN's Yale Subdivision,Sorenson Street, Matsqui, BC. If you go to Google, select Maps and paste in 49°06'50.8"N 122°18'15.4"W you'll see the location of the cameras for this video. Recorded with a Canon XA55 4KHD Pro video camera at 1920x1080 resolution. For outdoor shooting, it is equipped with an Azden SMX-10 High-Performance Stereo Condenser Microphone mounted inside a Rode Blimp Windshield on a Rycote Shock Mount Suspension System. A Neewer NW74K 7-Inch 1920x1080 Field Monitor is also used . All equipment is then mounted on a custom bar attached to a Canadian Studio Pro Heavy Duty 72" Tripod with an EI-717 Fluid Pan Head. Video is edited, produced and rendered using Cyberlink PowerDirector 17 Ultimate.
