30-Minute Beginner Ashtanga Yoga + Savasana

Build a strong foundation with this beginner-friendly Ashtanga practice. Props: 2 yoga blocks (recommended) In this class, we'll practice accessible variations of the sun salutations and standing sequence that begin every Ashtanga series. We'll then move through the final three seated poses before closing with savasana. Rather than searching for a different class each day, try returning to this practice for a few weeks. Repeating the same sequence gives you the opportunity to build strength, develop consistency, and become more familiar with the foundations of Ashtanga. As the sequence becomes familiar, you'll be able to focus less on what's coming next and more on your breath, how your body feels, and how your practice evolves.
