UN World Oceans Day 2023 - Event Highlights Recap Video
It's time to put the ocean first. Watch the highlights recap of the UN World Oceans Day 2023 event celebrating the theme "Planet Ocean:Tides Are Changing.” The theme underscored that, while the ocean covers the majority of the earth, we have only explored a small portion of its waters. Despite humanity’s utter reliance on it, and compared to the breadth and depth of what it gives us, the ocean receives only a fragment of our attention and resources in return. But the tides are changing. The programming featured over 25 global thought-leaders, celebrities, community voices, entrepreneurs, cross-industry experts and more who all joined forces to finally put the ocean first. This was a hybrid celebration of the annual event, which took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, and was broadcasted live reaching global views of over 100,000 people from 110 UN Member States. Hosted by UN DOALOS, in partnership with Oceanic Global and supported by Panerai with contribution from Discover Earth and OceanX.
