Algérie | El Para, sur les traces du Ben Laden du Désert

An Algerian terrorist leader nicknamed "the Bin Laden of the Desert," leader of the GSPC, seeks to establish an Al-Qaeda sanctuary in the desert and form an Islamist legion. After killing several in Algeria, he kidnapped around thirty European tourists in 2003, one of whom died of heatstroke. The others were released for ransom by Germany. He disappeared for a time, but was finally captured by Chadian Toubou rebels who held him in the Tibesti Desert. Author: Paul Comiti, Patrick Forestier.
