Most importantly, they demand the release of two prisoners from the Islamic Salvation Front. At 1:30 p.m., the Algerian government refuses, and a passenger is shot dead. The Algerian security forces then call in the mother of the commando's leader, a move that angers the man: at 1:30 p.m., a second passenger is murdered on the jetway. The decision is then made to allow the plane to take off for France. But there was no question of him going to Paris.
