Sahara : Le Territoire des Djinns
Taha Ould Bouessif, a Mauritanian camel driver, lives near Chinguetti with his family. One day, he agrees to join his French friend, Régis Belleville, for a unique adventure: crossing the Sahara, from Chinguetti to Timbuktu, over 1,200 km of dunes. No one has ever attempted this route, which plunges them into the heart of the desert, the land of the djinns. Accompanied by their eight camels, they face not only thirst and hunger, but also the malevolent spirits wandering these vast expanses. The documentary captures their physical trials, their doubts, the solidarity that unites them, and the unexpected discoveries they make along the way.
