I'm back on the pilgrimage after nine days. My right foot was healed for three weeks, but now that the pain is gone, I'm going to go on the pilgrimage again. This is Shikoku disease. If it hurts on the way, I'll go back. It's colder than nine days ago, so I started from Tosa City and headed to No. 34 Tanema-ji Temple. I kept losing my way and making mistakes, and once again realized how difficult it is to go in the wrong direction. At Tanema-ji Temple, I met the monks and listened to their powerful chanting. No. 34 Tanema-ji Temple and No. 33 Sekkei-ji Temple were relatively easy to get to. Sekkei-ji Temple used to be dirty, but this time it had been cleaned up. I had time to catch the 11 o'clock ferry, so I stopped by Kishigami Kimono Shop. The reception desk was open, which is a great place for pilgrims. I relaxed until the ferry time, listened to various stories, and was grateful for the tea. I boarded the ferry and headed from Tanezaki to Zenshihoji Temple, the 32nd temple. I was pretty exhausted after walking 20km, probably because it had been a while. Fortunately, my luggage was light. I finally made it by climbing desperately. The view of Tosa Bay from Zenshihoji Temple was amazing! I went through the back of the temple and headed to Chikurinji Temple. I had missed lunch, so I was completely exhausted. I was hit by a headwind and was on the verge of collapsing. I rested on a bench at the bus stop. I didn't want to walk anymore. Thinking that I couldn't walk any more, I climbed Mt. Godai with my last bit of energy. This was the hardest part. I struggled up the old stone steps that were too long for my stride, but I finally arrived at Chikurinji Temple. The autumn leaves at Chikurinji Temple were beautiful! When I passed Makino Botanical Garden and tried to go down, I noticed that it was under renovation. I got a map and decided to take a detour on my way back. It was fun walking through places I don't usually go, but it was tiring lol My goal was Monjudori Station. I traveled to Harimayabashi Station at Kotoden and arrived at my business hotel. I enjoyed Kochi specialties in the evening. My body was less mobile than I thought it would be. The next day, DAY 29, is a long day, so I'll rest up.
