Узнала, для чего модный дизайнер скупает старые одеяла и тут же разрезала свои
1) I cut up an old blanket and sewed a cardigan coat for spring. Despite the unusual choice of fabric, the item looks strict and elegant. The fashion world does not stand still. Designers come up with all sorts of outfits that sometimes you look at and think, where can you go out in it? Fashion for men is especially striking; for a long time after each show, all the women on the Internet worry that their husbands went to work unfashionably. We also paid attention to clothes made from Soviet flannelette and woolen blankets. Outerwear is especially popular. And why not: colors with floral motifs, painted, in different checks, the fabric is warm and sews well. Those who are into the trend will not hesitate to wear such a thing for a walk. Well, if you have complexes, you can wear a “blanket” jacket to a picnic, wrap yourself up in it and be a star there. I propose to sew a fashionable loose-fitting cardigan from a flannelette blanket. The pattern is very successful, suitable for all sizes, from skinny women to women with a hip circumference of 120 cm. Using this pattern, you can sew outerwear from any fabric, 150 cm wide and 120 cm long. I think everything is clear from the diagram. The only thing is that the circle for the neck should be placed smaller on one side (the back), shifted by about 3–4 cm, and larger in front. This is what a cut cardigan looks like, it is one piece. Sleeves, front and back are located on the same fabric. How to sew: The pattern must be unfolded, the sleeves connected, lowering them down to the middle of the shoulder. Fold the shelves towards the front, leaving the back behind. Now the sleeves and the front slit need to be sewn with one line or two. After that, you can try it on, the cardigan is ready. The seams need to be ironed. You can baste them if you wish, but this is not necessary. The edges can be hemmed by hand with thick threads. It can also be treated with binding. I used the second option. You can also sew on pockets, buttons, snaps if desired. Processing. My model is the simplest, like a cape. In general, this item is easy to sew by hand. Despite the unusual choice of fabric, the cardigan-coat looks strict and elegant. All thanks to the excellent pattern. 2) Don't throw away old Soviet blankets. You will be surprised, but they make modern things for the home. The manufacturing technique itself is simple. In Soviet times, every family had flannelette blankets. These were one and a half beds and baby blankets, in which babies from the maternity hospital were wrapped, I don’t remember a double one. Soft and dense, it served for decades. The pattern was checkered in blue and pink. A little later the print changed, as did the quality. Years later, this rarity remained with our parents. My mother-in-law even has new copies with a paper label. Now no one needs them. The market is flooded with different types of modern blankets, many of which are excellent quality, lightweight and warm. Despite its ancient appearance, this blanket can be used again, breathing new life into it. It's hard to part with such things. For example, you can cover a blanket on both sides with a beautiful fabric and quilt it. You'll get a new blanket. A vest for home also has a place. If you cut it into strips, you can make a cool warm rug. This is what I'll do. The work will be completely manual, so it will take time to implement the idea. I have two types of blankets, old light green, used, washed many times. And the blue one is completely new, which has been in the closet for more than 50 years. Cut strips 1 cm wide. Then I rolled the strips into circles of different sizes. When I twisted the circle, I stitched it through with a needle and thread so that the spiral did not unwind, as a result it became a single whole. Then I sewed one circle from strips of different colors. The size of the rug depends on the number of circles; you can make a whole rug. Then I sewed each circle together. In some places the circles were flattened into an oval. So that it fits into the resulting space. From such strips you can twist not only circles, but also ovals, sew them with a zigzag, and then combine different shapes into one canvas. This rug can go on and on, shaping not only the size, but also the shape. But at any stage the rug looks finished.
