It describes the journey from Portimão in the Algarve to Porto Santo, the small island off Madeira. Before we set sail, we have to prepare the yacht for the long distances ahead, but we take a day off to explore the Algarve's hinterland a little. Then we set sail for this 460-nautical-mile journey.
