Why I Returned to Lundo Railway Station After Twenty Days

It lies between Sarhari and Shahdadpur in Sindh. The stop was due to some technical issue and the whole platform was quiet. During that time, a man walked in from the nearby village carrying a large pot of biryani. He came with the simple hope of selling a few plates to the passengers. Just when he opened the lid and the steam rose, the train gave a whistle and started moving. It was sad to watch him standing there with complete silence and not even one plate sold. That moment stayed in my heart. I promised myself that I would return to Lundo and find him. Today, after twenty days, I came back to this small town with one purpose. I walked across the lanes, asked a few people and soon found him. I met him, talked to him and finally tasted his biryani. It felt like I completed something unfinished and it gave me real inner peace.
