Railfanning Where Google Maps Ends, Ranpathani Railway Station

Hello everyone, Today I am back with a very special railfanning vlog, a day spent far away from busy stations and city noise. This time, I spent almost a full day watching trains at the remote Ranpathani Railway Station in Sindh. I was not alone on this journey. Nine fellow railfan friends joined me, all sharing the same love for trains, open skies, and simple moments. Ranpathani is located in Thatta district, around 80 kilometers from Karachi on Mainline 1. The area feels completely wild, surrounded by small hills, desert bushes, and silence that only breaks when a train passes by. Reaching Ranpathani was an adventure itself. We traveled by cars on a rough dirt road that does not even appear on Google Maps. The journey felt like going back in time. After reaching the station, we enjoyed a simple but lovely breakfast of parathay and chana, brought by a friend from Karachi. Throughout the day, we watched trains, talked, laughed, and even climbed a nearby hill. From the top, the view of a passing train felt like a drone shot, truly magical. By lunchtime, hunger kicked in and we arranged homemade chicken karahi from Dhabeji through a friend’s driver. It was fresh, spicy, and unforgettable. As evening arrived, we made chai on a wood fire, sat quietly, and soaked in the peaceful surroundings. With hearts full of memories, friendship, food, and trains, we finally headed back. This vlog is not just about trains, it is about wilderness, friendship, and the simple joy of railfanning in Pakistan.
