We Floated in an Oyster Farm! A Coffin Bay Adventure including the stunning Greenly Beach free camp

Join us as we continue our journey around South Australia's spectacular Eyre Peninsula, discovering unspoiled beaches, wildlife encounters, and one of Australia's most famous oyster regions. Our adventure begins at one of the Eyre Peninsula's most beautiful free camps, Greenly Beach, just north of Coffin Bay. With its crystal-clear turquoise waters and spotless white sand, it was impossible to resist a refreshing swim in this incredible coastal paradise. Next, we return to the picturesque township of Coffin Bay for a memorable three-hour Oyster Farm Tour. Cruising across the calm waters of the bay, we learn about the fascinating history of oyster farming before stepping into the shallow waters of a working oyster lease. Paul chooses to float among the oyster baskets while Deb stays a little drier in a pair of waders! After learning the art of shucking oysters, we're rewarded with a delicious feast of freshly shucked Coffin Bay oysters—an experience we'll never forget. Leaving Coffin Bay, we continue north along the Eyre Peninsula to another spectacular free camp at Talia Caves. This rugged stretch of coastline is famous for its dramatic cliffs, sea caves, and breathtaking ocean views. While exploring the nearby coastal town of Venus Bay, we're treated to the magical sight of dolphins playfully frolicking just metres from the shoreline—a perfect way to end another incredible chapter of our Eyre Peninsula adventure.
