Raw and Candid | EP 9: Ateneo de Davao Rises in the South

In celebration of July Ignatian Month and the closing of the landmark Ignatian Year, Jesuit Communications Foundation and Radyo Katipunan 87.9 FM present: "Raw and Candid: Philippine Jesuit History as told by Jesuit Legends"; a series of never-before-seen interviews with legendary pillars of the Philippine Jesuit Province as they speak about the history of the Jesuits in the Philippines. Featured in this video is Fr. Edmundo Martinez, SJ. Fr. Martinez joined the Jesuits on 30 May 1958 and was ordained a Priest on 26 July 1970. He first taught and performed various administrative work at the Ateneo de Manila University, including the Deanship of the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. He was appointed President of the Ateneo de Davao University which experienced a period of growth and expansion during his time. In 2005, he ended his term and left the Society of Jesus to found a private school in Marikina City.
