Dominion By Addie E. Citchens | Book Review [Minor Spoilers]

Dominion by Addie E. Citchens is a fast-paced Southern church family drama full of secrets, hypocrisy, love, and scandal. Set in the fictional town of Dominion, Mississippi, the story follows Rev Sabre Winfrey, First Lady Priscilla, and their four talented sons who seem perfect on the outside… but behind closed doors, everything is falling apart; especially for their youngest son Wonderboy. We’re talking: ✨ church dynamics & keeping up appearances ✨ family secrets and betrayal ✨ lack of accountability on the pulpit ✨ a wife growing tired of constantly covering for her husband and family ✨ naive teenage love and trauma ✨ the consequences of avoiding accountability This book was incredibly entertaining, relevant, and hard to put down. I gave it 4 stars because a few things felt unclear in the end, but overall it was such an engaging read; especially for readers interested in Southern fiction, church-centered stories, and messy family dynamics.
