upstairs at the estate: ep. 1 - where it was, part I

Welcome back to the Estate! After a five-month hiatus, it's finally time to head to the second floor for the start of a brand new 13-episode series: upstairs at the estate. Before we can get into the project that transformed this part of the house for phase 2, I've gotta take you back to where it all started. Apart from the original listing photos, I have never really shown the upstairs of the Estate, and to understand where it is now, you need to see where it was. In this first episode, I'm focusing on the stairwell and upstairs hallway, two spaces that have already seen massive changes. From ceilings being torn out to walls being covered in paneling, paint, lighting, and restored floors, this part of the house has been through quite a bit. Naturally, because I am me and this house is old, one project politely turned into seventeen. This is the first of three backstory episodes covering the upstairs before we hit the ground running with the main project, my renovation that has taken a year to complete.
