Biltong - South African style Jerky (dried meat) method and seasoning recipe

In this tutorial I will take you step by step through the process of biltong or jerky making including sharing my own recipe for the spices and constructing a cheap but efficient homemade drying cabinet. Biltong South African style jerky (dried meat) method and seasoning recipe are demonstrated in this video and the blog article (link below). Here is a step by step method which includes a seasoning recipe and how to get all the equipment you will need at minimal cost and effort. You will be eating your biltong/jerky in 24 to 48 hours and it is delicious. Anyone can do this in their own home with next to no financial outlay. Your biltong/jerky will cost you a fraction of the bought stuff and it tastes better because you can customise the flavour to suit your palate. Biltong ingredients Beef -- round steak (topside) 15-20mm thick. Seasoning- coarse salt, coriander seeds, black pepper. Vinegar. Marinating container- deep, narrow, plastic or glass.
