00:00 OP 00:37 The reality is painful 04:39 No solution found 07:07 What is human dignity? Today I'm going to talk about something a little painful. I'm going to talk about "Can psychiatrists treat people when the reality is so hopeless?" ■The reality is painful The reality is painful. No matter how calm you are or how strong your heart is, there are situations where you feel like you're already at a dead end. "I've reformed, but tomorrow I'm going to die" I think there are situations like that. You've committed a crime and your death sentence has been decided. You were extremely bad, but now you've calmed down and realized a lot of things. But tomorrow you're going to die, the day after tomorrow you're going to die, a week from now you're going to die, and if you're in a situation like that, you're at a dead end. For example, under the Taliban right now, there are people who are suffering from poverty and have nothing to eat today. No matter how calm you try to stay, there are no jobs to eat. So some people say they have no choice but to get drunk, and turn to drugs to kill time. "I always have food to spare," or "I can survive if I get welfare," I say. But some people say that's a dead end. No, Dr. Masuda may say that, but I can't change the reality I'm in now. My husband beats me when I get home, but I have to raise my children. And if I get divorced, I won't be able to feed my children, and I might lose custody, and so on. For example, there are Cassandra syndrome. Thanks to Dr. Masuda, I now understand why my husband doesn't understand me. But because I learned that, I realized that there is no solution. I learned that it won't work because I have borderline intelligence. I thought bipolar disorder could be cured, but after watching Dr. Masuda's video, I learned that I have to take medication for the rest of my life to prevent relapse. My children have been in and out of hospitals many times, so I knew that this would continue. I see that kind of opinion a lot, in the comments. He is also criticized. Some people don't like Masuda's YouTube. I understand that there are people like that. I think there are also many people who say, "You're terrible." Many people with developmental disorders also have conduct disorders, and some people with developmental disorders are violent. That's terrible, isn't it? There is no hope, or rather, there is. That's what happens. In the end, even with traumatic issues, you can change the interpretation, but the fact that your parents hurt you remains the same, and the wounds never heal. We know that it is a wound that is remembered by something, that it is something you will never forget, and that you will have to live with for the rest of your life. In our clinical practice, there are people who come to get anti-anxiety medication because they are still suffering from the trauma even at the age of 60 or 70. No matter how much you talk about it, it will not heal, and although it may heal, it will not be zero. That kind of thing happens. There are times when you cannot see the solution. ■The solution cannot be found I don't know if it's the brain or the body, or luck or circumstances, but there is a certain weakness, and the reality is that it is stuck. But there is anxiety in the brain. Even though you want it to be like this, the more calm you become, the more anxious you become, the closer you get, the more anxious you become, and when you feel numb, there is no other way to do it, and you think that there is no other way than to get drunk. When you think about getting drunk, it can be from drugs, hysteria, or dissociative disorder, or obsessive-compulsive disorder, where washing your hands makes you feel safe, but as soon as you stop washing your hands, you may see the true reality. There are also situations where you cannot find a solution no matter how much you study and experience things when you calm down. You might be asked, "What are you?" There are situations like that. In clinical psychiatry, it's a nice idea that if you listen to someone, they'll get better, if you think this way things will go well, if you just do this you'll be happy. There are solutions to many problems. But it's true that there are problems that can't be solved. People say to me, "You're just watching from a distance, Masuda," and "What are you?" After all, you're a doctor, you have a family, and you're in a happy position, so I think they'll say that you'll never understand, and they do. What is the answer? For example, when it comes to getting drunk, there's something called Ganser syndrome, which is a similar illness. It's sometimes called a confinement reaction, and it's also said that Shoko Asahara of Aum Shinrikyo may have had Ganser syndrome. We don't know exactly. Was he in a state of hallucinations and delusions after developing schizophrenia, or was his dementia worsening and causing him to become hallucinating and delusional? Or maybe he had a ...
