The Elders Project: Cislyn’s Story

The Elders Project (T.E.P.) is a storytelling initiative under Project S.P.A.C.E. (Scarlett’s Platform for Access, Care & Empowerment) dedicated to preserving the voices, wisdom, and lived experiences of our senior citizens. In this episode, we spend time with Cislyn, whose story reflects a lifetime of resilience, faith, family, and community. Through her memories, she shares what life was like growing up in rural Trelawny, the values that shaped her journey, and the importance of preserving the traditions and experiences that define who we are. At Project S.P.A.C.E., we believe our history lives not only in books, but in the people who have lived it. The Elders Project exists to ensure these stories are documented, celebrated, and passed on to future generations. A heartfelt thank you to Cislyn and her family for welcoming us and allowing us to preserve this remarkable chapter of our community’s history. 📍 Trelawny, Jamaica Follow Project S.P.A.C.E. for more community initiatives and stories: Instagram: @projectspaceja #TheEldersProject #ProjectSPACE #CommunityStories #OralHistory #JamaicanHeritage #RuralJamaica #Trelawny #PreservingLegacy
