The Elders Project: Myrtle-Belle’s Story

The Elders Project (T.E.P.) is a storytelling initiative under Project S.P.A.C.E. (Scarlett’s Platform for Access, Care & Empowerment), created to preserve the voices, wisdom, and lived experiences of our senior citizens. In this episode, we sit with Myrtle-Belle Wilkie as she shares memories of growing up in St. Elizabeth and Trelawny, lessons learned throughout life, and the changes she has witnessed over the decades. Her story is a reminder that our history lives not only in books, but in the people who have lived it. Thank you to Miss Wilkie and family for allowing us to document and preserve this important piece of community history. 📍 Trelawny, Jamaica Follow Project S.P.A.C.E: Instagram: @projectspaceja #TheEldersProject #ProjectSPACE #JamaicanHeritage #CommunityStories #OralHistory #Trelawny #Jamaica
