Building a Zombie Spawn & Wave Manager in Unity
In this part of our Zombie Survival Game Course, we build the complete Zombie Spawner and Wave Management System in Unity. Instead of allowing all sides of the map to constantly spawn zombies, in this Game Development Tutorial we create a controlled wave system where only one side attacks at a time. We design separate spawners for the Front, Back, Left, and Right areas of the camp, each containing multiple spawn points and connected target references. We also build a centralized Wave Manager that controls the gameplay flow by coordinating all spawners together. The system spawns a fixed number of zombies for a wave, pauses between attacks, and creates a smoother survival experience where players get time to defend and prepare.
